PLANET Technology Corporation, a global leading IP-based networking company, has announced it is among the recipients of ‘Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2019’ which honors the company’s sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship in helping achieve a better society as well as the UN’s SDGs with its “Educational Program for the Disadvantaged Children” since 2004.

The Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards are organized by Enterprise Asia, the leading non-governmental organization for entrepreneurship, to recognize and honor deserving Asian businesses for championing sustainable and responsible business practices in the categories of Green Leadership, Investment in People, Health Promotion, Social Empowerment, Corporate Governance, or Responsible Business Leadership. This year, over 200 submissions from 16 countries were received from companies across Asia, among which, a total of 64 projects and business leaders were selected as recipients of ‘Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2019’. PLANET Technology was awarded this year for its “Educational Program for the Disadvantaged Children” making a positive impact on the society in the long term and standing out in the Social Empowerment category.

Like the spirit of doing business, PLANET Technology founded “PLANET Educational Charitable Trust”, the first to be established in Taiwan in 2004, dedicated to improving the education of the disadvantaged children and other living standards, as well as cultural projects. PLANET’s “Educational Program for the Disadvantaged Children” has supported children from difficult families by offering priority services on remedial teaching, psychological counseling, emotional therapy and other activities to help stimulate these children’s motivation to learn, correct behavioral disorders and be able to adapt to studying normally. We are happy to learn that more than 8,000 disadvantaged children have regained their motivation and confidence in learning via this program for the past 15 years, substantially leveraging the quality of the human resources and the social development.

In addition, PLANET applies its successful corporate management model to professionally counseling these children on the campus, resulting in a win-win situation for the schools, the families and the society as a whole.
