PLANET Technology Corporation, a global leading IP-based networking company, was once again awarded ‘2017 Corporate Citizenship Awards’ from CommonWealth Magazine. In particular, being the only company that has achieved this honor for 11 consecutive years under the category of Medium-sized Enterprises selected among over 2,200 public-listed companies in Taiwan, the recognition of PLANET’s long-standing practice of the universal values of corporate social responsibility (CSR) among the business, in terms of Corporate Governance, Corporate Commitment, Social Participation and Environmental Sustainability, was affirmed by the society once more.

PLANET provides employees with thorough human resource trainings and also cares about their physical and mental health by offering the family physician service as well as various lectures and programs from disease prevention, health consultation to physical and mental maintenance for its employees. On the other hand, the company has encouraged its employees to participate in the social service such as being volunteers guiding junior employees to adapting to corporate culture, caring for children, collecting trash in mountains, funding organic farmers, etc. As a result, it strengthens the CSR consensus among PLANET employees so as to enhance the cultural bond between the employees and the company.

The ‘Corporate Citizenship Awards’ is Taiwan’s most authoritative CSR barometer organized by CommonWealth Magazine, one of the most prestigious business media in Taiwan. It is benchmarked to international standards including the UN Global Compact, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. To be eligible for this award, each company must continue to make profits for at least 3 consecutive years and outperform in the 4 main criteria: Corporate Governance, Corporate Commitment, Social Involvement, and Environmental Sustainability. Winning this award for the 11th straight year, it acknowledged PLANET, a CSR role model in Taiwan, has never ceased to optimize its business value and influence so as to help achieve a better society.
