PLANET Technology, a leading global IP-based networking company, has won First Place in the SMBs category at the 2024 Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the fourth year running and has been listed in the award for 18 consecutive years, recognized over the years for the company’s continuous effort to achieve sustainable management.

Integrate International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Improve Sustainable Governance
PLANET has been ranked among the top 5% of Outstanding Companies in Corporate Governance Evaluation for the seventh time. To enhance competitiveness with carbon reduction and sustainable transformation, the corporate governance mechanism has incorporated climate risks and opportunities in response to the need for sustainable transformation. The advanced arrangements, such as financial statements, were made to align with IFRS accounting standards. The company’s “TCFD Report” was rated the highest maturity - Level 5 Excellence while the “Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)” and the “ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory” were verified and passed by a third party, the British Standard Institute (BSI), in response to the net zero reduction. A dedicated PLANET’s Sustainability website has been established, further enhancing the transparency of sustainability information for stakeholders. “Human Rights Due Diligence” has also been conducted within the company and among suppliers to strengthen the resilience of the sustainable supply chain and fulfill its commitment and responsibility for human rights protection.

Develop Green Influence and Protect Biodiversity
To achieve the 2050 Net Zero Carbon Emissions target, PLANET expanded its development of innovative green energy and AI networking products which won the COMPUTEX 2024 Best Choice Award – Sustainability Special Award. Based on the SBTi method, the company formulates a path for carbon reduction. It implemented several initiatives including establishing a responsible supply chain, leading 11 suppliers to a low-carbon transformation, adopting a cloud platform to manage carbon reductions, collaborating with DHL to utilize sustainable fuel to reduce global transportation carbon emissions, responding to RE100, and increasing consumption of green power year by year. Implementing climate governance sees PLANET actively participate in international sustainability assessments and initiatives including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), SME Climate Commitment, TCFD Supporter, and TNFD Adopters. To protect biodiversity, PLANET created a “Biodiversity Conservation Plan” for ecological conservation and to promote the positive growth of nature.

Achieve DEI in the Workplace and Long-term Talent Development
PLANET helps strengthen talents and employees to achieve their personal goals by combining sustainable talent mechanisms and cloud-based digital learning. In developing a DEI workplace, PLANET takes care of the health and well-being of its employees and their families by supporting family care, childbirth, and child education. In 2024, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with a 24-hour professional psychological consultation program was implemented in the workplace. In collaboration with the Taiwan Association of Family Caregivers, we also promote a caregiver-friendly workplace to keep employees from leaving their jobs while providing long-term care subsidies of NT$20,000 per year, making PLANET the second enterprise model in supporting caregivers in Taiwan. Thus, PLANET has been recognized with the 2024 CommonWealth Talent Sustainability Award again.

Spread Positive Influence through Disadvantaged Education and Inheritance of Art and Culture
For 21 consecutive years, PLANET has continued to implement the “Remedial Education and Psychological Counseling Program” for vulnerable students with emotional disorders, having helped more than 10,000 students. Beginning this year, PLANET further assists junior high dropouts to return to school. On the other hand, we believe cultural education is a solution to the increasing global social risks. PLANET has supported the Chinese and international musical arts for 20 consecutive years. Recently, we collaborated with the Contemporary Cultural and Arts Foundation to revitalize the historic Banqiao Broadcasting Station and transform it into a cultural and creative space to cultivate traditional operas and a new generation of modern dance performers. In 2024, PLANET was awarded the "Linking ASSET Corporate Humanities Award - Community Support Outstanding Achievement Award" and the “Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards”.
