As a pioneer in networking equipment innovation, PLANET provides a full range of Power over Ethernet (PoE) product lines, from power sourcing equipment (PSE), including Layer 2+ managed PoE switches, PoE injector hubs, and PoE injectors, PoE extenders, PoE splitters, to PoE powered devices (PD) such as PoE-compliant outdoor wireless access points (APs), PoE-compliant indoor wireless access points (APs), IP cameras and smart phones covering both commercial and Industrial grade applications. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE standard, PLANET’s PoE products offer PoE power output from 15.4 watts, 30 watts, 60 watts to as high as 95 watts. With years of experience, PLANET continually develops PoE solutions to support efficient and flexible network deployments in every sector.
For different applications required by different enterprises and client users, PLANET offers PoE switches ranging from full managed PoE switches, industrial PoE switches to standard PoE switches that feature up to 48 ports and more. With the Ethernet switching, PoE and full power supply system are integrated in one box design. PLANET PoE switches provide various power budgets to satisfy the increasing needs for power consumption of PoE PDs, such as outdoor wireless APs, indoor wireless APs and IP cameras. The IP-based, remote Web management interfaces also provide an effective central power management solution to monitor and control per port power feeding of deployed PDs.
PLANET has developed the world’s first PoE Managed Switch series with intuitive color touch LCD interface to allow the network management in real time without logging in to the computer, greatly enhancing the management efficiency. The network system, PoE PDs, and even the cable diagnostics can be easily managed through this cutting-edge user-friendly touch LCD panel built in the PoE switches. Moreover, the Color Touch LCD PoE Switch supplies 10G data transmission capability, high power PoE from IEEE 802.3af/at 30-watt to 60~95-watt ultra power, intelligent PoE functions, and unique ONVIF support to promote the network performance for SMEs, enterprises, public places and industrial hardened environments.
In order to help users conveniently manage the PoE system or end-span devices in the client site, PLANET has developed a unique and user-friendly Intelligent PoE Management device with 15 functions which effectively assists the IT managers to improve the efficiency of management, save the cost of maintenance, and extend the life of products.
PLANET PoE switches can be configured to monitor connected PD (Powered Device) status in real time via ping action. It will greatly enhance the network reliability through the PoE port resetting the PD’s power source and reducing administrator management burden.
The “PoE schedule” function helps you to enable or disable PoE power feeding for each PoE port during specified time intervals and it is a powerful function to help SMBs or enterprises save power and money.
PLANET PoE switches allow each of the connected PoE IP cameras or PoE wireless access points to reboot at a specified time each week. Therefore, it will reduce the chance of IP camera or AP crash resulting from buffer overflow.
Though most NVR or camera management software offers SMTP email alert function, PLANET PoE Switches further provide event alert function to help to diagnose the abnormal device owing to whether or not there is a break of the network connection, loss of PoE power or the rebooting response by PD Alive Check process.
In traditional Power over Ethernet applications, the maximum distance is 100 meters between PSE (power sourcing equipment) and PD (power device) using copper twisted-pair cable, which causes many restrictions on the network architecture.
In order to break through this limitation and enable service providers or electricians to have more convenient applications on the deployment of the network service, we have broken the PoE limit to delivering the data and power over a distance of 200 meters. It not only saves the cost of network deployments including cabling, but also saves the corresponding power consumption.
Users can enable the Extend mode of PoE configuration via the web GUI or the DIP switch to easily extend the transmission distance to 200 meters.
