PLANET Technology Corporation, a global leading IP-based networking company, announced that the company has obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for information security management systems (ISMS) for the first time in May 2022, audited by TUV NORD, a third-party international verification agency. By achieving the certification, PLANET continues to demonstrate its dedication and ability to deliver reliable security technology and service to its customers and to keep enhancing information security system management, in line with international standards, to ensure the continuous operations of the company.
Information security and privacy management are an important part of sustainable corporate governance. PLANET has set up an Information Security Management Office (MIS) to manage information security at all levels of operation. In 2021, PLANET officially introduced the international standard, ISO 27001 information security management system. At the same time, an internal cross-functional team "Information Security Task Force" was established to fully promote the work related to the information security system management. Through optimization of the current information security system to establish a complete risk assessment and management mechanism, it improves the protection of customer data and company intellectual property, while preventing and reducing the risk and impact of the potential security threat.
In order to implement information security, all members of the Information Security Task Force from PLANET have obtained ISO 27001:2013 internal auditor certificate. Information security awareness is enhanced through regular information security training and enforcement methods. Regular Information security drills and internal and external audits have comprehensively strengthened information security protection to secure customer and company operational information and promote sustainable business operations.
