PLANET Technology, a global leading IP-based networking company, has once again been recognized for its continuous improvement in corporate governance and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance, and thus it was honorably ranked in the top 5% among the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) listed companies in the 8th (2021) Corporate Governance Evaluation in Taiwan.
In line with the trend of sustainable investment globally, PLANET enhances its corporate governance and ESG performance in response to the UN SDGs and "Corporate Governance 3.0 - Sustainable Development Roadmap (2021-2023)” in Taiwan. Having stepped into the stage of "Corporate Governance 3.0” since 2020, the company has strengthened sustainable management, while also improved risk control and continuous operations management.
At the beginning of 2022, the functional ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Committee’ of the board of directors has officially renamed to the ‘Sustainable Development Committee’ to reflect the global sustainability movement and climate change mitigation issues. Furthermore, the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) framework was adopted for the company to actively respond to the risks and opportunities brought about by climate change and enhance the competitiveness and resilience of enterprises.
The 8th (2021) Corporate Governance Evaluation was held by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and TPEx. A total of 1,639 companies were evaluated this year, including 913 TWSE- and 726 TPEx-listed companies. As a result, 46 TWSE- and 36 TPEx-listed companies were ranked in the top 5% group. PLANET has been recognized once more in the top 5% in the 8th Corporate Governance Evaluation. In the future, the company will continue to strengthen sustainable governance and ESG practice so as to protect the rights and interests of all stakeholders, and promote sustainable corporate value.
