PLANET Technology, a global leading IP-based networking company, was honorably ranked in the top 5 percent among the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) listed companies in the 2017 Corporate Governance Evaluation officially held by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and TPEx. The company was again recognized as a role model for practicing corporate governance and CSR in Taiwan.
Upholding strong business ethics for sustainable development, PLANET continuously puts effort in building a good culture of CSR and maintains a sound corporate governance system. Besides enhancing information transparency, the company keeps strengthening functions of the Board of Directors by founding the Audit Committee and increasing the seats for Independent Directors in 2017, which saw the proportion of women sitting on the Board increase to 43%. As a result, PLANET was acknowledged among the top again in the official corporate governance evaluation in Taiwan.
In order to guide and encourage more companies in Taiwan to implement corporate governance, TWSE and TPEx have jointly held the corporate governance evaluation since 2014 in accordance with the “Corporate Governance Roadmap” released by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) of Taiwan.
